Reports on the finds the old Anglo-Saxon town of Hamwic. The sites covered here were primarily domestic in character, and alongside small finds environmental data throws considerable light on diet and with it the town’s economy. Also included are an overview of the evidence for Hamwic and reports on its geology and on place-name evidence.
